This Citrus County community is found about two hours to the west of Orlando and an hour and a half to the north of Tampa. Universities located around Beverly Hills include the College of Central Florida, St. Leo University, Beacon College, and Webster University of Ocala. The Coastal Heritage Museum in Crystal River and the Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala both provide interesting educational outings to area residents.

For health care services, Beverly Hills residents have the following facilities available: the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, the Citrus Memorial Hospital, or the Oak Hill Hospital. While there is no public transportation in Beverly Hills itself, both Amtrak and Greyhound service Ocala, and the Gainesville Regional Airport can connect Beverly Hills residents with larger cities via air.
